===> History of the Tablets
The "Tables of Destiny" is an oracle came first chapter books of the late 17th century. Cap-books were among the earliest examples of printed works of ordinary people. Formed in large quantities and is printed on the cheapest grade rag paper, these little 4 x 6-inch leaflets were the dime novels of his day. These hawkers carrying small items cheap could buy and sell their packages on their journey. In the vernacular of the time called Cape men, buyers and sellers of products cheaper. Therefore, sales brochures acquired the name of the cha-books.

The idea behind the oracle is simple. Each "Tablet" represents a different category questions that are divided by a common set of responses. A tablet is formed, composed of 16 fractional numbers in an unusual arrangement in more or less the same page. They may be in a place (Tablet of Venus), one (Tablet circle of the moon) or diamond (Tablet of Jupiter) as the area bounded each number is approximately equal to the page. Then an array of responses has been prepared covering a range of possible responses. The "Tables of destiny ", of 32 responses, with 16 issues in both a foot and reversed.
You look for your answer by placing the table the "Tablet" in front of you and take the chance to prove that is the direction, vertical or inverted. Then you should use your finger, a small stick or a pencil held in his hand by randomly selecting your answer.

===> Modern Printing The Oracle
The most complete version of the "tablets of destiny" that I found have been published in "The Complete Fortune Teller" by Diana Hawthorne (Blue Ribbon Books, Inc., New York, 1940), and an English printing of the book "Complete Laurie Fortune Teller" by Diana Espino (W & G Foyle Ltd, London. 1946). A copy of the English edition has recently been sold on E-Bay and is still in the engine search. He is obviously exhausted right now.
A newer version can be found in (2) books: "Little Giant Encyclopedia of Lucky Numbers "by Diagram Group (Sterling Publishing 2001) and" Little Giant Encyclopedia of Fortune Telling "by the Diagram Group (Sterling Publishing, 1999). Both are still in print, and can be found at your local bookstore. Unfortunately, two of the "Tablets of Destiny" were was removed from recent impressions Sterling Publishing.
You will also find a calculator on the web page with all the "pictures" of publishing 1940, with a little research. I highly recommend the experience, but it sure beats the Magic 8-ball.
