Manga Studio does the same or better than Photoshop or Paint.NET?
I do a lot of cartoon characters and advertisements, and I heard of Manga Studio by another artist (you may know him as the guy who did Chumble Spuzz). It seems that you can draw, drawing, ink, and almost everything to do with Manga Studio. But here's what you need to know: Is it compatible with Windows? Is it easy to use in synchronization with a Wacom tablet? Is it possible to design brushes? Is it good color? All around, I just need something that I use my ink drawings or draw some of them. Manga Studio seems less expensive than Photoshop, so you can use a freeware like Paint.NET or brush. Therefore: Manga Studio is better than Photoshop, or poor?
Manga Studio I Google, I'm sure you can get some of your questions, no doubt to ensure compatibility. It is not a complex Program for image editing like Photoshop, which is for specific uses. There's really nothing there that resembles Photoshop in depth and the complexity that is possible with it, except perhaps for The Gimp (free from www.gimp.org). PaintShop Pro is very good, but Photoshop is always the leader. I'm not even sure you can do with brushes, Manga Studio, I do not think their goal. Manga Studio is obviously cheaper than Photoshop, because it does not require Photoshop. If you are looking for free software, look in the Gimp as I suggested, Paint.net is easy to use, but among other problems, that does not support layers, and make the color and ink drawings, which will be able to scan and create layers. Without layers, you do not have a good handle on where things are going, and it is difficult to protect parts of a image that does not change. Layers are like transparent sheets of paper, and may block and do things like change the stacking order. The stratification is one of the most powerful tools of Photoshop. Anyway, you might get Manga Studio, but you're not close to the flexibility in the way produce his art that you give Photoshop. Manga Studio is not a replacement for Photoshop.
