wacom intuos3 tablet 9×12

What graphics tablet should I buy? I'm pretty sure that you want a Wacom Intuos3, simply can not decide .. How Big?

I've been looking Wacom tablets in a while and now I am ready to order 1, but I can not decide the size I want. Intuos3 I watched the 4×6 because it is a very reasonable price, my boyfriend wants me 1 as the larger 9×12. I'd like to hear someone who has experience w / you and have an opinion 1 way or another.
