Can you boot from a CD with an external CD drive?
I'm trying to install Ubuntu on a Toshiba Portege PC'' 'shelf. It has no CD drive, so I have to use an external. Normally, when the CD in the drive (when the CD is not external), team begin to form automatically load the CD. This is not the case. I tried to change the priorities to be loaded from the first external drive, but after my previously installed Windows XP loads … one way is not good for me. Does anyone know how I can start from a CD using an external CD drive?
I think basically, thats like booting from a device USB ….. assuming that the external drive is USB. I could be wrong ……. just try.
