How do I get my sound working in Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty my CTO HP tx2500z Tablet PC?

I can not get sound to play in Ubuntu. All I hear is a beep when I turn off my computer. That's all. Ive tried several solutions, none of which solved the problem. I tried to add the code at the bottom of alsa-base.conf.
