Toshiba M400 or Sony Vaio SZ?
Hello, I am thinking of buying a laptop in the range of $ 2000 – 2500 $. I reduced my choice for the next 2 PC Laptop: Sony VAIO VGN-SZ240P Core Duo 2 GHz, 120 GB, 2 GB, 13.3 ", 4 lbs, DVD ± RW DL / WiFi / Bluetooth / WXP Pro M400 Tablet PC Core Duo T2500, 2.0GHz, 1GB, 80GB, DVD-RW, 12.1 SXGA, 802.11g, Fingerprint Reader, Win XP Tablet Edition, comments on their performance, reliability, sustainability, etc., are appreciated. EG I am going to use for software testing and thus the performance is the main important issue for me. Indeed, it is possible to increase the RAM to 2 GB Toshiba, so the point is that the brand is more reliable and configuration. better results? Is it really worth paying a little more for a Sony VAIO?
If you're a hardcore player, then certainly go with the Vaio. The extra memory and hard disk space you could save to update a few years from now. Bluetooth is more enjoyable if your phone is also Bluetooth cabable. And you can not go wrong with XP Pro XP sux (). Tablet PC sounds like a good choice if they are still in school or from college. Although I never understood why anyone would take notes on a Tablet PC when you can simply write on paper. If only words, you can write faster than writing (so you do not need the tablet) and if an image or a graph, then the normal role is probably easier to write. My choice would be the Vaio, but it is ultimately up to you. Please let us know what you decide. You have my curiosity. EDIT: I just checked my reports Consumer online subscription and it seems that Sony Vaio is the 2nd place under an Apple MacBook Pro for the "15.4 inch Workhorse" of portable skills. Not your specific, but none-the-less Vaio (VGN-FE790). Toshiba is not even listed in this section.
