drawings are usually printed on a laser scanner compressed digital plotter

Response options are a bit dated, but the answer is "tracer". A better term for aircraft could be "drawing". Drawings are not good again but some people still call it that. Large format printers to take full advantage of the current path. (Scanners simply take a snapshot of the image. The tablet is what draftperson used to create the drawing. Laser printers can be used if the design is small.)
