My pen does not make straight lines in Photoshop?

My pen does not make straight lines in Photoshop. It works very well in Painter X. Using Vista 64, Nvidia graphics card GNU enabled. Ideas? Adobe is not useful.

There is something, either an icon or in the menus, which lets you specify whether the pen to draw lines or curves and straight lines only. It is likely that the pen of the program also created. Check help for instructions.
