How do I get the handwriting to work in Word 2007 on Vista with a bar of bamboo, not a Tablet PC?

I can not imagine what I do. I find nothing. Worked on my old laptop with XP. and I had Word 2003 on it. Help, I can not imagine what I do. I can not find anything. Worked on my old laptop with XP. and I had Word 2003 on it. Help! Note: I have Vista, not XP! Answer Joe does not.
