What kind of tablet should I get?

I hav always been a 'pen / pencil and paper type "artists. One of my Friends introduced me to several areas of art where artists use tablets and drawing programs to improve their style of art. I thought it was fine and considered getting a tablet for me. I started to study this idea for about five years and I decided to get one. Are there any that you recommend? I heard that people use Wacom and when I went on your site, I liked the Intuo3, however, seemed a bit advanced for me. Note: I've never worked with layers (in the digital arts programs) or any type of Arts program.

My vote is for Advil!
