Help with the laptop is falling apart?

My Toshiba Satellite laptop starts to break. The stitching on the 2 sides meet the bottom my screen. It is a kind of plastic and nothing seems broken, just separated and now screen is a bit fragile. I tried together, but it will not be. It makes a click every time I open or close and I am afraid it will break soon if not fixed somehow. Suggestions? BTW is one year old and is a portable tablet-style computers, but I never used this option Tablet PC. Wow Thanks for any information, both sound so well informed! Thank you very much. I would place it in a repair shop. Sounds like a hinge issue and not a good idea to try to play with yourself. Spend the $ 100 now and save having to spend later.
