tablet pc software 2009
Looking for a tablet pc!!!!! Help me!!!! 10 points best answer!!!?
Im a college student, mayoring in industrial design and im looking for a tablet pc that will run certain software such as Alias Sketchbook pro, photoshop cs3, rhinoceros 4.0, illustrator and Solidworks 2009.
overall im looking for this kind of specs:
2GB memory
At least 160GB hard drive
a good nvidia quadro fx
at least a 14.1″ (diagonal) display screen
weight: no more than 8 lb
I dont mind in aesthetics as long as it meets the requirements
im only using the tablet for drawing, don’t need any other multimedia gadgets or software on it.
so please guide me into the right direction.

The problem with tablets is that few even have dedicated graphics. Most are equipped with the X4500 which won’t fair well with many of the programs you listed. Few tablets go beyond 12.1″.
So my suggestion is to get two laptops. One for your hardcore work, maybe a Dell Precision, Lenovo Thinkpad W-series, or HP Elitebook (these have either FireGL or quadro). Then another laptop, an actual tablet to use.
Price should be around $2000, depending on what you get. Much cheaper than getting a tablet that’s over $2000 and performs nowhere as well.
