Graphics Tablet What do you recommend?
I have a 17 "(1280×1024 pixels) LCD monitor and want to know what is the right size if I had to use a graphics tablet for drawing and painting. I am not a professional artist / designer, but I am very interested in scanning my drawings and finally proceed to paint. Be as small as 5.8 "x 3.7" working area would be sufficient? There will be 512 levels of pressure sensitivity sufficient for painting? Does the resolution (LPI) in the area? Giving me the make and model name would be appropriate.
If I get the spring and Wacom Intuos3 Tablet, 6 "x9" – that is not too large nor too small. But it is also not particularly cheap ($ 350). But if you are an amateur who just want to have fun at home, etc., then get some of the cheapest models from Wacom. A very small work Well, as you can adjust the screen to be size vs. relative, but remember that you forgive the more repetitive movements wrist. This is important and can potentially harm yourself if you end up using a lot or has a hand of iron, etc. Therefore we recommend average size of 6×9. I can not do enough to emphasize the value of a Wacom Intuos3 (or Intuos2 if you can find one) – I had a couple of them and are excellent, an industry standard for a reason. It could start with a cheaper, but even that might run you $ 100 + so bite the bullet and get the last thing you'll ever need, the Intuos3. If you can not find one for $ 350 can get – I've noticed over the years that almost Never drop in price. Good luck and have fun!
