Help! Digital Painting in Photoshop CS4?

Hi, I really want to paint, but always quickly lose my motivation after finishing my story, In addition, all the ideas I have. I want to find a good motivation for me, I can finish my work / art. I tried watch a painting digital painting deviantART, digital and seemed motivated, but motivation does not last long. I think what motivates me is my lack of technique. I am not too sure.
