What kind of laptop / netbook / Internet device is right for me?
I want something that is portable (I have a laptop) and small. Something for instant messaging my friends (who have no cell phone) and search the web a little. I wish Windows Movie Maker it, but not an obligation. What kind of thing would be good for me? looked at the Nokia Internet Tablet and I heard a good number of bad things. I'm on a budget, must be less than $ 350. I'm not a spoiled rich kid who has his mom and dad to buy everything wants. I dedicate my own money I worked to achieve. Oh, I forgot. I have a router in my house. I use wireless for my laptop. Could connect to it?
Devices Nokia N800 and N810 are honest (not Windows Movie Maker and never will). I have the N800 and I love him, but if your not in a WiFi zone much of the functionality is dumb. You can get applications like Pidgin (for IM), Skype (VoIP), and even Duke Nukem for it. The N810 comes with GPS and once the keyboard (which is a much needed improvement in the N800). I would also consider a netbook from Asus and Lenovo (both have sub $ 350 netbooks). I'm sure you can their website quite simple Google.
