Question on Windows Vista?

I used to have this little menu on the right side of my desk where I could put one tablet of notes, calculator and calendar, etc. .. Now, the entire menu is gone and just look at my office .. normal How can I view the menu back?

1. Go to Home. 2. Type 'sidebar' in the search bar. 3. Click the first "Windows Sidebar". 4. ?? 5. PROFIT!
