What is a good laptop for a freshman in college?
Id like something that can take notes on the (im assuming they need Tablet type, because I take math / science courses that require writing tons of stones) and portibility good with the least 4 hours battery. Probably around $ 1000 should be good, a little higher than it is.
TabletPC are certainly the way forward for students. There are several applications making very good grades there, like OneNote or Inkseine. You now have an option or electromagnetic digitizer touch screens, but the touch screen units seem to have more complaints that are used for taking notes. But it is easy to carry a spare battery for most PWC in another exchange that is a breeze. If you Watch the units used their price range is not a problem at all. If you do not need the performance of top line can be considered as a unit that I use an HP TC1100 Centrino w/1.2 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. Can be found around $ 600 now. Do not go to eBay instead of seeking to buy and sell items from previous forums.
