Determine the mass of atoms of C?

I am so confused about this right away to help someone. The aspirin is C9H8O4 formula. Find the mass of carbon atoms in a gram aspirin tablet weighing 500.0mg.

There are 9 moles of C in each mole of aspirin Molecular formula above. Take 5000mg converted into grams and then converted into moles of aspirin (as calculated by the molecular formula … For example, (9 * 12.01 for C + 8 * 1.01 for H, etc..) Then calculate the mass of C in the tablet using the relationship x x moles of aspirin (9 moles C / 1 mol aspirin) x (C 12.01 g / mol C) = response. You should be able to take from here.
