Best Tablet PC for a student to take notes?

I really want a Tablet PC (or one of those convertible notebooks) to wear with me to take over my notes. What I know is if one or a program you can get one that allows me to write on the PC as a computer laptop? As my notes and said that all on a piece of paper, but keep it on the computer?
