So you've decided to buy a new laptop. Makes sense. After all, prices are down, features, and now you can get an economic model that offers power, mobility and long battery life in a package that weighs only a few pounds.
There are, however, an alternative. The lightweight Tablet PC, a PC with the size of a letter-sized notepad, it's worth checking out. For the same price as a Laptop senior, you get everything a laptop has to offer and more.
In particular, there is a format more convenient, has a pen enabled screen and is easier to use at meetings and during the trip. Offering the most advanced operating system Microsoft to date and allows you to run any Windows XP compatible applications.
It is best that you can edit documents and send emails with your own handwriting, and translate most handwriting to text. It includes built-in handwriting to help decipher bad (for very bad handwriting, maybe you should stick to writing). Some models are also heard in the recognition capabilities of seizure.
Road Warriors and Hounds Assembly has not everyone will want a Tablet PC. Some complain computers phones now cost as prices are falling. Others, like a small keyboard. Others May did little to calligraphy or digital increased mobility.

Why did not I think a Tablet PC is interesting watch?
1. It will run from Microsoft's most advanced system to date. Windows XP Tablet PC is actually a superset of Windows XP Professional, with the power and capabilities of XP as many additional functions to allow pen-based computing. " More on that in No. 2.
2. It will extend the way you using a PC. You can still write your notes and text, and use the Internet as you would a laptop or desktop PC. But with pen-in based computing can integrate digital pen and paper into the PC experience. Using a special stylus that comes with it, and utility Tablet Input Panel PC (which is like a keyboard on the screen), can write directly on the screen and save notes or convert them to typed text. Your digital pen can take the place of a mouse and keyboard if desired.
3. You can take all your notes electronically. The Windows XP Tablet PC Edition comes with a utility making notes called Windows Journal. With it, you can create and organize handwritten notes. Notes, diagrams and drawings – all that usually created with pen and paper – are captured and stored in the Windows Journal. The Tablet PC technology advanced handwriting recognition lets you quickly search your notes to find what you need.
4. You can work from anywhere, and do not interrupt the meetings. Some companies prohibit or discourage people using laptops in meetings. Why? Because the laptop screen creates a sort of barrier between the user and the speaker. Eye contact is lost while plunking away on keys. Using a pen and a letter size screen (with the folding keyboard), a participant can maintain normal eye contact and still take notes during a meeting. Meanwhile, the same mobility and ability to provide a wireless laptop allows Tablet PC users to work in cafes, in class, on planes and in hotel rooms.
5. The Tablet PC can be your main PC. Remember, this is a full featured PC, not a PDA, you therefore not synchronize with your desktop PC.
6. You can collaborate with colleagues working effectively. You can apply your digital penmanship for the main Office applications. For example, you can add written comments to the hand or a drawing in Microsoft Word, highlight key points in PowerPoint presentations, write and send handwritten messages through Outlook – and share handwritten documents with other PC users.
7. You can customize. Tablet and pen settings to customize your Tablet PC for left or right handed operation, and program buttons to perform a variety Task
8. Your data is encrypted and protected. Windows XP Tablet PC Edition offers all protection features Windows XP Professional, including the role of encryption of files and control system access security.
