Tablet PC vs Notebook for college?

I look at HP laptops, but I'm open to other suggestions too. Tablet is ideal for taking notes from handwritten notes to work better with charts, portable computers, but they are cheaper and more powerful. I do not play much, and I am ready to give the bigger screen. If I get a laptop, I also accommodate 1 to 2 GB of RAM college students eager to shed light on this issue? If it helps I think to go to UT Austin, taking the road of medicine.

There are two schools of mind when you buy a new computer. Buy more to have more later, or buy the minimum necessary. When it comes to a laptop for a college student in general is recommended to buy the bare minimum. The university is difficult for a laptop by through the Council, usually at the end of higher education is beaten and beaten up, ready for retirement. Acting as a core team, who spend much of life is connected, killing the battery, the distance between home and everywhere in between class and takes it's toll on the structure Physics, The list could continue indefinitely. Knowing that College Bound notebook is unlikely to survive more than a few years, a more prudent decision is often to buy exactly what you need and can afford, securing money for other expenses. At least the money saved will be very useful when / if necessary repairs or provide a large nest egg to replace in a few years the road. Use intensive laptops have a fairly limited life, it is rare to see a few more years of use. A Tablet PC may seem like a great investment for a student, but there are some real challenges too. To begin, there is often a price much larger partner. But more importantly, effective use a Tablet PC requires a real change in workflow. While I am limited to my own observations on the subject, most people who have Tablet PC rarely use the tablet functionality, opting instead to use as a normal (over priced) laptop. My advice is to buy a laptop, and within your budget that is powerful enough for what you have to do today. two gigabytes of RAM is an excellent choice because you can not use all now in the long term, additional RAM is a great way to extend the life of a system crisis. I recommend you also check with your school or equipment retail discounts on education. Many people buy computers from a retailer large area where you could order online (with Ed OFF) and save hundreds of dollars. Also check with the campus bookstore, you can usually get editions of Microsoft Office Student for less than the cost of the group with a new machine. Hope this helps.
