A Tablet PC is like a regular laptop in several respects. For example, it uses the same basic software (Windows), so that the curve Learning is not so great.

There are actually two types of tablets: slate and convertible. The council has no keyboard or mouse entry. You enter across a pen. The convertible has a keyboard and a certain type of mouse input. You can also rotate the screen, and flat on the keyboard. So you can write on the screen as well as a slate model.

Both models work very well, but the convertible is much more popular, probably because people do not buy into the pen 100% an input device. They want the keyboard as a backup.

But this is a mistake. The pen works very well and is an excellent way for people interact with the tablet. You can write directly on the screen with the stylus and the software to convert your handwriting into text. You can then empty the text into relevant programs such as Microsoft Word and others.

Although it might not be able to write as soon as you write, but the beauty of tablets. You have the best of both worlds. With a convertible notebook, simply turn the screen and pull. Then you can use the keyboard to type with. If you have a Slate keyboard, you can write to a wire or a USB keyboard.

You can also draw pictures and diagrams directly on the computer. This is particularly useful if you are a student, because you do not write their notes and then try to draw diagrams with the mouse or scribbles in a notebook.

Since both diagrams and notes are on the computer, you can return them immediately so that you will not be lost if the computer crashes. Most schools have campus-wide wireless networks in order you can bring them offsite. Ask your school's IT department how to do it, and maybe you can walk through it.

So, Tablet PCs are the future of mobile computing. You get all the benefits of a laptop with some extra features which is very useful.

There are some drawbacks. For example, are more expensive than laptops for most. But this should be resolved as more people buy them. Only you can decide if it's worth the extra expense.
