The much awaited Apple tablet has finally been revealed. Steve Jobs unveiled on January 27 at a tense morning for fans of Apple and high technology around the world. Now with the specifications and information there is time to preview the IPAD and potential.
Firstly the design is pretty spectacular. The front is dominated by the large 9.7 "LCD backlit LED will probably look great. Just Below the screen that receives the Home button for the iPhone that allows you to return to the top at any time. A less attractive feature for me are backing black around the screen. They are a little too big for my taste, which would have been better if Apple was able to stretch the screen a little and remove the borders. At the top, you get the sleep button to turn off the screen. In the right side for the volume buttons and switches cutoff, interesting is that the buttons have been moved from the iPhone to the left (right). In the back to get the black logo Big Apple the center of a large gray aluminum (?) mass. Ipad also says on the back, the number of GBS and one or two things at the FCC required to be there, I think. It is impossible not to assume that the iPhone will have a similar endorsement. The shelf is very thin, in fact, it is only 0.5 inches thickness, which is so thick as an iPhone. Height and width of the next steps: 9.6 inches and 7.47 inches.
Now, let's talk Software IPAD. Its operation is very similar to that of an iPhone. Slide to unlock and you're on the main screen with icons typical the iPhone. You get: contact YouTube, Mail, Safari, iPod, iTunes, App Store, video, scripts, maps (from Google!), Calendar, Photos and last but not least notes.
The applications have been modified slightly for new capabilities, however. For example, photos are organized block event. Playing in a block of photos will show you preview photos of this event (or a card for Windows users). However, You can also view your most treasured memories of the list, location, faces or date. We can imagine that would be fantastic to handle photos on a large touch screen and show your friends.
Another application has been largely under Safari Steve Jobs. Experience navigation than the office experience and you can touch and turn the pages. And unlike the iPhone which web pages are now completed.
The App Store is going to turn this device on things Apple can not achieve. You can run all applications on the iPhone him in full screen or 1:1, which is true resolution last we're used to using favorite smartphone. But, besides carrying iPhone applications, IPAD will also have their own applications. Developers can create programs for it and exploit their potential. The things that we saw in the key, including equity programs seemed good, but not very impressive. Within months, a surprising piece of code out the board, we are safe.
I have taken everything into consideration, and some things that bug me now. First was the iPad support Flash? The tablet is supposed to provide the best navigation experience ever, but Flash is an important part of experience.
Another thing is equipment. Apart from the case and things that touch screen does not look good on paper. It has a 1GHz processor quadcore integrated into Apple a non-specialist in these chips. I fear that the A4 processor might not be fast enough for the really interesting applications. Another is depressing the absence of the iSight camera. This thing would have been surprising for conferences and instant messaging, a missed opportunity here. Other material figures are a mystery. As speed is the graphics chip? And how the memory system should work?
And last but not least, I have trouble my software gives Two thumbs up. I think it resembles the iPhone software. IPAD is a product much stronger if the software allows some Things advanced features such as video editing or the ability to access and store files in the Finder window (or cards to Windows users).
To conclude. IPAD seems incredible and priced to sell well EUR499. But as far as the first iPhone launch iPad contains some glaring gaps. It is very fast, did not have a webcam and especially the software lacks the functionality of calculating gross. With that said I could get even if experience is as surprising as Steve Jobs said during a presentation. Apple knows that this is probably the case.
