Sometimes you want to crop around an image with a complex shape. Most people do it in Adobe Photoshop or another program for image editing, but PowerPoint can you do if you know or if another program.

If you have PowerPoint for Mac, the image toolbar has two buttons for loop you can use. They are similar to the lasso in the programs of image editing and I want to PowerPoint for the PC had. But if you're on a PC, here's another option:

Say you want to cut around the image, remove the bottom.

Follow these steps:

1. Insert the image you want use. It should be a separate file instead of pasting from the clipboard.

2. Zoom in at least 100%, more than a complex system. Make sure the entire image is on screen. (After the closure of a task bar for help.)

3. Bar Drawing toolbar, click AutoShapes> Lines> Freeform. (In 2007, use the Insert tab and then click Forms. Select free lines the shape of the article.)

4. Click anywhere on the shore where you want to cut and drag around the image (with mouse button pressed). For straight lines, you can release the mouse button and click the end of the line. When you return to the starting point, release the button mouse and the free form should be completed.

Note: It must be perfect, you can later edit. In addition, I must admit that the use a mouse is a little awkward and I put up a Wacom tablet with a stylus. It is ideal for the position.

5. Double Click on the free form to open the dialog AutoFormat. (In 2007, which shows the Format tab.) Change the fill to fill not, but let contour alone. (For this tutorial, I made the outline thicker, so you can see clearly.)

6. Now you will see some areas to be adjusted. For example, in the right image, the line is too far from the neck and shoulders.

7. Select the free form and in the toolbar Drawing, click Draw> Edit Points. (In 2007, click the Format tab and choose Edit Shape> Edit Points. See Now, many points around.

8. To adjust a point, click and drag to the desired location. You can also click on a point where where you want and select Delete. Continue until its free form is closely the contour of the image.

9. Delete Image.

10. Double-click on the drawing. Click on the drop down Fill Color and select Fill Effects. Click the Picture tab. (In 2007, Form Fill, click the Format tab and select Picture.) Select the image you chose earlier and click Insert.

11. The image now fills the free form. Because of the free form is the shape of the image (unless the fund is not), the result is to crop the image!

12. Format free form again and define the layout of the scheme.

Tablet PC tablet vs. laptop?

This is the price and functionality of a Tablet PC better or worse compared to obtain a laptop with an additional drawing tablet for drawing and designing? Pros? Cons?

They used construction tablets so far, but I have a Wacom Graphire 4 × 5, and works wonderfully. I also tried other compressed formats makes 6 x 9 "x 12 12, and I must say that I have (4 x 5) is best for your money. I think with a Tablet PC, your hand is in the way, why not draw on paper to place? haha.
