I am often asked by HR professionals from others how they can become an independent consultant in human resources, instead of working for a company. This certainly seems wonderful to be your own boss, set your own hours and manage your workload. And it is understandable that long for a better balance between work and family life. But to build a consulting firm successfully, you must have many skills, In addition to being an expert in human resources.
