American answers, please!?
Hi, I think to go live with my father in Glendale, Arizona, and I wonder what that American schools are like, what are they? In my present school in England, all classes have smart boards and that each student has his own laptop tablet, which schools have smart boards and not all students have their own laptop Tablet? How much long are your lessons and how you have each day? How long do you get for lunch and rest? Do you wear the uniform because when you wear a suit and what is really annoying! And if you live in Glendale, let me know, I might be in class soon:) Thanks
I am not 100% sure how the English school system, but in America, public schools receive funding for their schools based partly on their property taxes. Areas with super fine houses and property taxes have increased more money for their schools, homes and areas property taxes low and poor will not both. I have not heard of a U.S. public school gives each student their own laptop. Some parents buy for their children on their own, but do not go school. In a private school may be different. Whether or not a school has smart advice depends on the school. Nicer schools might have some or all, and not as good, probably only used the blackboard or a whiteboard ordinary. Any type of projector or something like that is common in most schools, I think. In my school, a class is about an hour, and we have 8 periods, including lunch. My school is big enough, if we three lunch periods, corresponding to periods of class, so it is about an hour, too. A little more time than other times. We do not "Crash" in itself, but we need to spend periods, a couple of minutes to go from class to class. My school is 6 minutes, but we also have several buildings and plants. In general, public schools are not uniform. There are dress codes, but should not have to wear a dress or nothing. Ultimately, it comes to your school. Talk to your father. If not known, must be able to find out. Also, if you visit him before deciding to move, I am sure she will be able to look at the school you must go to you move. Welcome to America:)
