Galaxy Samsung (Sprint) without a contract?

I just ordered a Galaxy sheet (Sprint version) was the only model available. I was said when I ordered No contract required, such as that offered by Sprint. I read on several sites if it is possible to bypass the activation message 3G in other models (T-Mobile and Verizon), it is not possible with the Sprint model, and can not be used with wifi. Can someone confirm? I need to know if I can connect to my wireless, and always use the pill at full capacity. Please no answers coarse or responses that promote the IPAD. Like Apple, but I wanted a tab Galaxy. Thank you.

I'm sure a contract is necessary.
