Is there something like the iPad, another team Tablet PC (which works)?

I'm not the biggest fanboy Apple, and I see that basically IPAD giant iPod Touch / iPhone. I know, not quite true, but do not want to pay much money for a big toy. I know that HP was the creation board (even in course at the last I heard), Microsoft began in the cool Mail (Hella, but deep sixed), and there is a shit out there that is sold only 400 units. These are not what they want to hear. Thank you! =)
