Am I eating too much fruit – do i need any supplements?
My wife has read a magazine article that says too much fruit can lead to diabetes, due to high levels of fractrose
in the blood stream? Is this correct?
A typical day sees this in my diet:-
3 cups of green tea
Three acai berry tablets
Lots of water
Breakfast
Glass of orange juice
Cereal – Special K or Muesli – with milk or yoghurt
2 slices of wholemeal seeded toast
Mid morning
One nectarine
Lunchtime
Two ham sandwiches – i.e two slices of wholemeal seeded bread
Small packet of sultanas
Small bunch of grapes
One banana
One yoghurt
Mid afternoon
One apple
Evening meal
Can be anything – e.g lasaane / or chicken slalad / quiche etc
For desert – one banana, one apple
Evening snack
Pear and / or nectarine
I started this because I was very overweight – my weight seems to be at my target and now swings within a three or four lb either way over a period of a few weeks.
I am male – 5 ft 6
I would suggest two less fruits a day, and instead replace it with meat, like a sandwich.
